My story is one of assorted experiences. I have served as a Chief Executive Officer of multiple businesses. I have also authored several books and often speak at public engagements. Perhaps most importantly though, I have navigated the complexities of family life as a devoted husband to my wife, Ashley, and a father to our sixteen children. Yes, you read that correctly, we have sixteen children. Our family, much like yours, has faced the challenges of technology, financial stress, and the ups and downs of raising children spanning from toddlers to adults. As many challenges as I have faced in business, there was a time when I thought that there was nothing more complex (because there was nothing more important) than family life. What I eventually realized was that just because something was important didn’t mean it had to be complicated.

In the midst of our hectic family life, I realized how much running a successful business and managing a family had in common. In business, I understood the importance of working both IN the business—handling daily tasks—and ON the business—building systems, setting goals, and casting a vision. But at home, I was only working IN my family, focusing on the immediate demands without stepping back to intentionally create order or strengthen our relationships. Once I began to reframe my approach to working ON my family rather than just IN it, everything started to simplify.

Drawing from this experience in my own life, I developed the Well-Ordered Family Management System™, a comprehensive six-part process designed to bring order, joy, and meaningful connections back into your family life. My objective with this family management system was to simplify family life—something most people probably think isn’t even possible.

In the pages of my book, Well-Ordered Family™, I share our family’s journey and the principles that have helped us navigate the complexities of modern family dynamics. I understand the challenges families face today: the feeling of being too busy, the prevalence of unnecessary conflict, and the overwhelming anxiety that can permeate family life.
